Parkesburg Music Conservatory, located just six miles west of Coatesville on Route 372, was founded in 2004 in the heart of historic Parkesburg. This tastefully decorated 100-year old Victorian building has a southern decor boasting three elegant practice studios and a grand piano in the living room.
The owner, Lynne Hamer, teaches a myriad of piano styles: classical, show tunes, jazz, blues and hymns. Lynne holds a B.A. (cum laude) from Immaculata University and an M.A. in Music Therapy. Since Lynne is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and has experience dealing with "gifted children," individualized creative techniques are utilized for each child's musical learning process. Lynne also teaches beginner to intermediate guitar with an emphasis on folk, rock, jazz, and song writing. Therapeutic drum circles are also held at this location as well as piano recitals for all interested students. All lessons are $25.00 per half an hour. Coffee and refreshments are served, free of charge, for the students and other guests on the premises. Call for special performance rates for weddings and special events.
